85.95% pass HSC, equivalent exams

A total of 85.95 percent students passed 2022 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations across the country.

A total of 11,77,387 students took part in the exams this year. Among them, 10,11,987 passed.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced the details of the results at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka at 12:30pm on Wednesday. 

The pass rate of HSC is 84.31 percent, madrasa 92.56 percent and vocational 91.02 percent.

A total of 87.80 percent students passed the HSC exams under Dhaka Board, 78.76 percent under Chattogram, 90.07 percent in Cumilla, 86.95 percent in Barishal, 81.04 percent in Sylhet, 79.06 percent in Dinajpur, 83.09 percent in Jashore, 77.03 percent in Mymensingh, and 81.59 percent in Rajshahi Board.

Among the candidates, 62,421 students scored GPA-5 in Dhaka Board, 12,670 in Chattogram, 14,991 in Cumilla, 9,971 in Barishal, 4,871 in Sylhet, 11,830 in Dinajpur, 18,706 in Jashore, 21,855 in Rajshahi and 7,179 in Mymensingh.

To get the results, a student will have to type “HSCfirst three letters of boardroll number2022” and send an SMS to 16222. They will get the result in a reply SMS.

Madrasa students will have to type “AlimMadroll number2022” and send the SMS to 16222.

Vocational students will have to type “HSCTecroll number2022” and send the SMS to 16222.

Besides, results are available at the Education Board website (http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd/) as well as the respective websites of all education boards.

The 2022 HSC and equivalent exams started on Nov 6 after a lengthy delay due to the coronavirus pandemic and flood.

The number of subjects in the HSC exams was decreased and the syllabus was also curtailed.
