Some 15 children were injured after being bitten by a dog in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on Friday afternoon.
The incident took place in Boroichara Dakshinpara village under Salimpur union when the children were playing beside home.
Later, they were rushed to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex where they were given vaccine each.
The upazila health complex physician Sohel Parvez and Salimpur UP chairman Amzad Hossain Bablu Malitha confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Amzad Hossain said stray dogs were seen wandering in the village and school-going children and women are afraid of dog menace.
Ishwardi Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Nazmul Hossain said they were trying to catch the dog which might be a mad one.
