Fifteen distinguished personalities of the country have been nominated for the Bangla Academy Award 2022 for their contribution to the different fields of literacy.
According to the sources in Bangladesh Academy, the recipients are Faruk Mahmud and Tarik Sujat for poetry, Tapas Mazumder and Parvez Hossain for fiction writing, Masuduzzaman for article writing or research, Alam Khorshed for translation, Milon Kanti De and Farid Ahmed Dulal for playwriting, Dhruba Esh for children’s literature, Muhammad Shamsul Haque for research works on Liberation War, Subhash Singha Roy for research on Bangabandhu, Mokaram Hossain for science and science fiction writing, Iktiar Chowdhury for autobiography or memoir or travelogue, and Abdul Khalek and Muhammad Abdul Jalil for folklore.
