Police have arrested the driver and the helper of a ‘Victor Classic Paribahan’ bus in connection with the death of a Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) student in front of the Jamuna Furture Park in the capital.
The arrestees are driver Md Liton and helper Md Abul Khayer, both hailed from Bhola.
A team of Bhatara Police Station arrested them from Shah Ali area in Mirpur on Monday morning.
Md A Ahad, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Gulshan division), confirmed the matter to Jago News.

On Sunday noon, Nadia, a first-year student of Pharmacy department of the NUB was killed after the bus hit her and her friend in the area. Police seized the bus but its driver and his helper managed to escape.
Later, Nadia’s father Jahangir Alam filed the case against them with Bhatara Police Station at night.
