Ismail Hossain Rasel, Staff Reporter of Jago News, has received the ‘LDDP Journalist Award’ for his outstanding reports.
He achieved first position and won the award in online media category conferred by Department of Livestock Services of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries on Wednesday.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim handed over the award to Rasel at CIRDAP auditorium in the capital.
However, ten other journalists were also awarded in three categories at the event.
Earlier, Rasel got a fellowship from Democracy International for a report on election. He was also awarded by Minority Alliance International for his report on Shia community.

He completed his honours and masters from Stamford University. Before joining at Jago News, he used to work at Banglamail24.com, Dainik Amader Orthoniti, Amader Natun Samoy, Dainik Amar Din and Barta24.com.
He is the executive member of Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF). Apart from, he is the permanent member of Dhaka Reporters Unity and Fisheries and Livestock Journalists Forum. He is currently working as the Office Secretary of Climate Change Journalists Forum.
