BNP has announced rally and procession programs across the country on January 16 to press home its 10-point demand and protest power price hike.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the announcement in the mass sit-in protest in front of the party's Nayapaltan central office in capital Dhaka on Wednesday.
He said the programs will be held in district, upazila, city, municipality and central levels on the day.
Saying today's mass sit-in protest turned into a human sea, he urged the participants of the program to free BNP leaders and activists from jail who look at their mass movement.
"When I am talking here, 600 workers (of BNP) spend days in Keraniganj jail in untold misery. They look at your mass movement. You will free them," Fakhrul said.
Mentioning that this government became isolated from people and doesn't get any path to keep power without repression, he said that is why countrymen want to get rid of the deadly fascist one.
Stating that the movement to out the government has already started and all the political parties got united, Fakhrul called upon people to awake being more stronger.
BNP Standing Committee Members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Mirza Abbas, and BNP's Dhaka North city Convener Amanullah Aman, among others, spoke at the program.
