The expatriate Bangladeshis sent remittances of around $169.96 crore, which is equivalent to about Tk 18,190 crore, in December, the sixth month of the current fiscal year 2022-23.
The amount is about $10 crore more than that of November, and around 7 crore more compared to the same period of FY 2021-22 when the country received $163 crore in remittance, Bangladesh Bank said in its updated report on Sunday.
The amount is, however, around $39.67 crore less than that of July, the first month of the FY 2022-23, when about $209 crore remittance came home.
