A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Patgram border in Lalmonirhat district early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Bipul Hossain, 22, son of Rashidul Islam, a resident of Gatiar Bhita in Patgram upazila.
Patgram Police Station officer in-charge Omar Faruque said BSF opened fire on the youth near 843 No. border pillar when he went there to bring cow, leaving him wounded.
Later, he died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, the OC added.
Earlier on Thursday, two Bangladeshi nationals were shot dead and another was injured by the Indian border security force along Hatibandha border in the district.
