The High Court (HC) on Tuesday issued a rule asking authorities concerned as to why it shall not declare illegal the decision of cancelling the migration system in university admission process.
The court asked respondents to reply to the rule within 10 days and stayed the decision of cancelling the migration opportunity for the writ petitioners.
A High Court division bench of Justice Md Khasruzzaman and Justice AKM Rabiul Hassan passed the order after holding a hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard.
Three students filed the writ on December 26, challenging the decision of cancelling the migration opportunity for the students willing to get admission in cluster of varsities.
Senior advocate Bodruddoza Badal moved the plea before the court, while Deputy Attorney General Bipul Baghmar stood for the state.
