Two dengue patients died and 89 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 276 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 501 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 297 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 204 are in other divisions.
As many as 61,972 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 61,195 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
