Film to be made on Salman Shah: Moushumi

Dhallywood actor Moushumi has taken initiative to make a film on her co-star Salman Shah who died prematurely.Salman-Moushumi was one of the most popular pairs in the country’s film industry. Their first film Keyamat Theke Keyamat was released in 1993, which was a super Hit. Moushumi said, “Salman Shah was one of my best friends and we used to share our feelings, happiness and sorrows with each other.”“To make a film on his colourful life is my long-cherished dream. Now the decision is final. I am searching for new-comer for the film,” she added.Moushumi is now busy with shooting a film titled ‘Shunyo Hridoy’. She has paired up with Ferdous in the film.Moushumi came to the industry after winning the ‘Anonda Bichittra Photo Beauty Contest’.She appeared in TVC for Meril Skin Care Cream and Spin Rain Shampoo in the early 1990s. She also did the TVCs of Lux, Angalik, Frame Tea, Dandy Dyeing and Tibet soap.She has acted both as an actress and a singer since childhood.The actress took a break from acting and announced plans to marry actor Omar Sani in 1996. After six months, Moushumi came back in front of the camera and acted in ‘Golapi Ekhon Bilatey’, opposite Mithun Chakraborty.Moushumi was given the National Film Award for ‘Meghla Akash’ in 2002. She has so far acted in over 150 films and made her directorial debut with ‘Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti’ in 2003.She performs in TV drama. Her co-actors are Afzal Hossain, Zahid Hasan, Towqir, Bipasha, Mahafuz and others.Moushumi has also released an audio album.
