Two dengue patients died and 125 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 271 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 748 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 405 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 343 are in other divisions.
As many as 61,263 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 60,244 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
