Kabir Bin Anwar made new cabinet secretary

Kabir Bin Anwar, senior secretary at the Water Resources Ministry, has been appointed as the 23rd cabinet secretary.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.

The three-year tenure of the incumbent cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam will expire on December 15. 

Kabir was born on January 1, 1964 in Sirajganj, according to the Ministry of Water Resources website.

He completed his SSC and HSC from Residential Model School and College, Dhaka. Thereafter he got admitted at the University of Dhaka in the department of Economics. Kabir completed MSS in Political Science. He also obtained LLB degree.

Kabir joined civil service on February 15 in 1988 as Assistant commissioner. In his long career, he shouldered many important responsibilities in the field administration as well as in the central tire of Bureaucracy.
