7 BNP MPs announce resignation

Seven lawmakers of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have announced resignation from parliament. 

They announced this at the party’s Dhaka divisional mass rally being held at Golapbagh field on Saturday.

The seven lawmakers are Gulam Mohammad Siraj from Bogura-6, Zahidur Rahman from Thakurgaon-3, Mosharrof Hosen from Bogura-4, Aminul Islam from Chapainawabganj-2, Harunur Rashid from Chapainawabganj-3, Abdus Sattar from Brahmanbaria-2 and reserved seat lawmaker Rumeen Farhana.

“We will submit the signed resignation letter to the Speaker on Sunday. We have already sent our resignation letters through email,” said Rumeen Farhana. 

Bogura-6 lawmaker Golam Mohammad Siraj said, he submitted the resignation letter to the party’s acting chairman Tareque Rahman at the meeting of the standing committee. We will not go to the parliament anymore.
