Four people were killed and another was injured after a train hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Cumilla on Tuesday morning.
The accident took place at Khilar Tuguria rail crossing area of the Laksam-Noakhali railway line in Nangalkot upazila around 9:45am.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, Officer-in-charge of Laksam Railway Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Quoting locals, the OC said, a Laksam-bound Noakhali Express train hit the auto-rickshaw when it was crossing the rail crossing, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured. Locals rushed the injured to a hospital where the doctor declared another dead.
