Former minister ABM Golam Mostofa dies

Former minister and member of the Parliament ABM Golam Mostofa has passed away. He was 88. 

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital at 9pm on Saturday. 

His personal assistant Akter Hossain confirmed the death to Jago News. 

Mostofa, also a former secretary of the government, was suffering from old-age complications. 

He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and many well-wishers to mourn his death. 

He was the vice president of Cumilla district (north) unit Awami League.

In 1988, he joined Jatiya Party and served as Fuel and Natural Resources Minister and Flood Control and Water Resources Minister. 

He won the parliamentary election from Cumilla-4 constituency in 2008 with AL ticket.
