Three dengue patients died and 477 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 240 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 2,082 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 1,175 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 907 are in other divisions.
As many as 54,405 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 52,083 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
