The fire that broke out in a slum in capital Dhaka's Uttara area on Saturday afternoon has been brought under control.
The fire personnel brought the fire under control at about 5:50 pm, around an hour's frantic efforts.
Fire Service and Civil Defence duty officer Rozina Akter confirmed the matter to Jago News.
She said a slum beside the rail line at Sector-8 caught fire around 4:58 pm and being informed, six units of firefighters brought the blaze under control at about 5:50 pm.
But the cause of the fire and any casualty could not be known yet, the official added.
