BNP won't compromise with anyone: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said his party is working to protect the country's independence and sovereignty and it will not compromise with anyone to achieve the goal.

He said this in a discussion meeting arranged at Jatiya Press Club on Wednesday on the occasion of the 46th death anniversary of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.

Fakhrul said the government is cowardly filing false and fictitious cases against BNP leaders and activists but it can no longer resist them.

Mentioning that Begum Khaleda Zia is imprisoned and cases were filed against 35 lakh BNP men, he said, "Some 500 leader-activist were sued newly but people are erupting like a volcano and this tyrannical government will fall through it."

About Maulana Bhasani, the BNP secretary general said he fought for oppressed people's rights and he must be remembered every moment to win tough fights.
