DMP to permit BNP's Dhaka rally analyzing detective info

BNP will be allowed to hold its 10 December mass rally in capital Dhaka after analyzing detective information.

Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Faruk Hossain said this while talking to the reporters at its media center at Minto Road on Tuesday afternoon.

However, he did not specify when permission will be given.

The official said DMP received an application from BNP seeking approval for the rally and it will now consider whether permission can be given.

"We will see if there is any risk (around the rally) analyzing the information given by our detective agency," he added.

BNP will hold a mass rally in capital Dhaka on December 10 as part of its rallies in divisional cities seeking the party chief Khaleda Zia's unconditional release, election-time non-party impartial government, and protesting fuel prices hike, deaths, of leaders and activists by police, attack and false cases against them.
