One dengue patient died and 266 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Friday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 193 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 3,252 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 1,923 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1,329 are in other divisions.
As many as 46,752 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 43,307 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
