Singer Akbar Ali, who became known for performing in the popular show 'Ityadi', has been put on life support in a hospital in capital Dhaka.
He was put on life support at BIRDEM General Hospital around 11 am on Wednesday, his wife Kaniz Fatema confirmed to Jago News.
She said, "He (Akbar) was placed on life support this morning following his physical condition deteriorated. Doctors said he is in critical condition."
Earlier on November 5, the singer was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the facility following he had suddenly fallen sick.
At that time, she said they were taking preparation to take him to India for treatment but he had to be admitted to BIRDEM General Hospital following his sudden illness.
Singer Akbar Ali has long been suffering from various complications. Recently his right leg was amputated due to complications.
