Five identified for bringing communal content in HSC question paper

Five persons involved in bringing communal and provocative content in the question paper of the Bangla first paper in this year's HSC examination, have been identified.

Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board Prof Tapan Kumar Sarker disclosed the matter to BSS on Tuesday.

One question paper maker and four moderators from the Jashore Education Board were identified in the connection.

The identified question paper maker is Assistant Professor Prashanta Kumar Pal of Dr Saiful Islam Degree College in Jhenaidah's Moheshpur.

The four question paper moderators are Associate Professor Syed Tajuddin Shaon of Govt Victoria College in Narail, Associate Professor Shafiqur Rahman of Satkhira Govt Girls' College, Assistant Professor Shyamal Kumar Ghosh of Narail's Mirzapur United College and Assistant Professor Rezaul Karim of Bheramara Adorsho College in Kushtia.

Prof Tapan Kumar Sarker further said that all the accused are from Jashore Education Board.

Referring to these activities as punishable offences, he said the board concerned will issue a show cause notice against the accused soon.

He also recommended the chairman of the Jashore Board take disciplinary actions against these five accused.

"We can recommend the education board in these cases. But it is implemented by the Ministry of Education," he continued.
