Actress Radhika Apte says that it`s great to receive appreciation for one`s work, but she doesn`t set out to do a film with expectations of any kind."I believe that one shouldn`t go out with too many expectations. I believe that it`s better to do what`s in your hand - your performance, and distance yourself from it then. Because the result is not in your hands," says the Badlapur actor. However, she does say that the reception of her work, be it in the 14-minute short film Ahalya, or Ketan Mehta`s latest directorial, which also stars actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has been a feel-good factor."The reception has been incredible... And I am excited that the Ketan Mehta film finally released after three years... I am happy it`s been received well," says the Shor in the City (2011) actor, who wants to add variety to her work profile."When I pick up a project, I don`t see the length of the character, the co-actors, et cetera. I look at how different it is from my past characters, I look at variety. And then again, the reason why I choose a project could be a different one each time," she says.
