'LDP's pledge is to free country from dictatorship'

President of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Oli Ahmed on Tuesday said his party's commitment is to establish democracy in the country and free it from dictatorship.

LDP does politics for people and since its establishment, he said, adding that it has been working for the well-being of the country and the people.

The veteran politician said this in a statement on the occasion of LDP's 16th founding anniversary.

He said the government isolated from people considers itself the owner of the country, and in its 13 years of rule, the country has no human rights, justice and good governance.

Taking its advantage, Awami League leader-activist and some corrupt government official-employee are working as complementary of each other, Oli Ahmed said.

When people are tremendously suffering due to the commodity prices hike, AL is looting people's wealth in the name of mega projects, the freedom fighter alleged.

The AL-led government purposefully ruined the country's every institution and organization, and corruption, unjust, injustice and oppression entered all levels of the society, he added.

He also said the flatterers, corrupts, and egotism will be identified as the root causes of this government's fall.
