Bangladeshi killed by BSF along Chuadanga border

A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district early Sunday.

Deceased Muntaz Hossain, 32, was the son of late Nazrul Islam, a resident of Chhoto Boldia village in the upazila.

The younger brother of the deceased Intazul said the members of BSF-54 Bijoypur Camp of India opened fire on his brother when he went near 82 No. main pillar of Chhoto Boldia border around 1 am to bring buffalo, leaving him dead.

The BSF also took his body around 10 am, he said.

Chuadanga-6 Border Guard Bangladesh Director Lieutenant Colonel Shah Mohammad Ishtiaq told Jago News they were informed about the incident and they were trying to contact BSF.
