Two dengue patients died and 344 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 63 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 2,156 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 1,601 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 555 are in other divisions.
As many as 18,646 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 16,427 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
