The expatriate Bangladeshis sent remittance of around $153.95 crore (About Tk 19,361 crore) in September, which is the lowest in the last seven months.
The amount is 10.82 per cent less than that of the same period of Fsical Year 2021-22 when the country received $172.67 crore in remittance, Bangladesh Bank said in its updated report on Sunday.
In September, the most remittance came through Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) followed by City Bank and Al Arafah Islami Bank Ltd.
The central bank officials said September witnessed less remittance than that of the same period of last fiscal year as the flow of expatriates' income decreased.
