A bank official was killed in a road accident in Brahmanbaria district on Saturday.
Deceased Imtiaz Uddin Apon, 35, worked at Sonali Bank Limited's TA Road Branch in the district and son of Mizan Mia, a resident of Kharera in Kasba upazila.
Locals said a pickup van hit Apon's motorcycle in Jadughar area on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway around 12 noon, leaving him injured.
Later, he was rushed to Brahmanbaria General Hospital where he died.
Khatihata Highway Police Station officer in-charge Sukhendu Basu said the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
