The Bangladesh Women’s National Football team, who won the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship trophy, returned home from Nepal on Wednesday.
A Bangladesh Biman Flight, carrying the Bangladesh eve team, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 1.50 pm.
State Minister of Youth and Sports Jahid Ahsan Rasel and officials of the ministry and Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) received them at the airport.
A press conference will be held at the airport’s lounge. The footballers will express their feeling there.
Later, the team will be taken in an open-deck bus from the airport to BFF Bhaban in Motijheel for a colorful reception.
On Tuesday, Bangladesh made history by winning the maiden title of 6th edition of SAFF Women’s Championship beating host Nepal by 3-1 goals in the final held at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu.
