Two dengue patients died and 381 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 44 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 1,493 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 1,103 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 390 are in other divisions.
As many as 10,777 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 9,240 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
