The government will start the Covid-19 vaccination programme for children aged between 5-11 from October 11 in municipalities and unions across the country.
Dr Md Anwar Hossain Hawlader, Secretary of Health Services Division of Health and Family Welfare Ministry, said this at a function at Hotel Radisson in the capital on Saturday noon.
He said, a total of 22,638,737 children will be brought under this vaccination programme in the country.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque was also present as a chief guest in the function.
It is to be noted that, the Covid-19 vaccination campaign for children is underway in 186 centres of 12 city corporations, including the capital.
