Driver killed, 7 injured as bus collides Leguna in Demra

One person was killed and seven others were injured after a bus collided with a Leguna at Basher Pul area in the capital’s Demra on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Rajib, 30, driver of the Laguna. 

The injured are Abdul Baten, 45, Abul Basar, 40, Md Shanta, 19, Abdul Gani, 45, Md Hasan, 40, Md Sagar, 18 and Md Hridoy Hossain, 22.

Hridoy, passenger of the Laguna, said the bus of Ashiyan Paribahan collided head-on in the area around 8:30am, leaving 8 people injured. Later, they were recovered from the spot and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared Rajib dead.  

Inspector Md Bachchu Miah, In-charge of DMCH police camp, said the dead body was kept at the hospital’s morgue and he informed the matter to the concerned police station.
