Legendary lyricist, director, producer, and screenwriter Gazi Mazharul Anwar has been laid to rest in his mother's grave at Banani graveyard in the capital of Dhaka.
He was buried around 6:20 pm on Monday after the first namaz-e-janaza at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and the second one at Gulshan Azad Mosque.
Earlier at about 10 am, his body was taken to Central Shaheed Minar where he was given a guard of honor. Later, it was opened for the people to pay tributes to him.
The Ekushey Padak winner, Gazi Mazharul Anwar, passed away on Sunday morning. He was 79.
