Selim Satter, the director of Balaka Blade (Now Samah Razor Blades) Industries Limited, has been detained along with 'drugs' from a flat at Banani in the capital of Dhaka.
On a tip-off, a team of the Department of Narcotics Control conducted a drive in the flat on Bank Asia Bhaban at Road no. 11 on Sunday afternoon and detained Selim, DNC deputy director (North) Rasheduzzaman said.
During the operation, a huge amount of foreign liquor, MDMA, Cocaine, LSD, cannabis chocolate, Kush, synthetic hemp, and different kinds of idols were seized from the flat, he added.
The official claimed that held Selim used the flat as an illegal minibar where different people would take drugs and sell these but he has no license for drug sale and consumption.
He also claimed Selim in interrogation had told them that he has dual citizenship of Bangladesh and Sweeden, and he had been consuming the seized drugs himself and selling the same.
