All the educational institutions under the Directorate of Secondary & Higher Education will stay closed on Friday and Saturday every week as part of the government's efforts to save power and energy.
The Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Education Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Monday.
The authorities of the universities have been asked to take necessary measures regarding this, said the notification.
Asked about this, Secondary & Higher Education Directorate deputy secretary Saifur Rahman Khan this afternoon told Jago News that the decision will come into effect from the next week.
