Shakib’s dine among 342 restaurants have to evict

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) has sent notices to the owners including Shakib Al Hasan, all-rounder cricketer of Bangladesh National Cricket Team, to evict 342 illegal restaurants from city’s Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara as part of eviction of unauthorized installations and establishments in residential areas.Restaurants owners have to remove their establishment within short period. RAJUK will cut down electricity, Gas and Water line to the restaurants if they fail to shut down their restaurants within times.Housing and public works ministry has started to send notice to authority concerned from July 18 in this year.Housing and public works Minister Mosharraf Hossain said, we are determined to evict illegal restaurants and business establishments from diplomatic zone and residential areas within dead line.   Earlier, total 1,625 illegal establishments in various locations of the capital were named. Among them, 215 were in Uttara, 580 in Mirpur, 552 in Gulshan-Baridhara, 173 in Dhanmondi-Lalbagh, and 105 in Motijheel-Khilgaon.Following the deadly terrorist attack at Gulshan Holey Artisan Barkery, Rajuk has named total 342 illegal restaurants in city’s diplomatic zone.On July 1, the Holey Artisan Cafe and O’ Kitchen, an upscale cafe frequented by foreigners, came under attack on the evening, 20 diners, including 17 foreign nationals, were murdered before commandos stormed the restaurant took out six gunmen in the next morning.
