National flag carrier Biman Bangladesh has launched the first flights on the Dhaka-Guangzhou-Dhaka routes.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali inaugurated the flights at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 9am on Thursday.
Biman Managing Director and CEO Md Zahid Hossain and Chinese envoy Li Jiming were present during this time.
Tanveer Ahmed, Public Relations Officer of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
The flight took off from Dhaka’s airport at 11am and will land in China’s Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport around 4:45pm.
The returning flight from Guangzhou will take off at 7:45pm and reach Dhaka at 9:30pm.
Passengers can purchase tickets for this route from any sales centre of Biman.
However, the returning passengers will have to book flights on the www.biman-airlines.com website or any Biman-approved travel agency.
