A fire that broke out at a packaging factory at Konapara in the capital’s Matuail at 7:35am on Thursday has been brought under control.
The fire was brought under control at 9:20am.
The reason behind the fire could not be known.
Khaleda Yesmin, Duty Officer of Fire Service Headquarters, confirmed the matter.
She said, the fire started at 7:35am. Being informed, the three fire service units rushed to the spot at 7:44am. Later, three more units were there.
Earlier on Monday, six people were killed after a massive fire broke out at a polythene factory in the capital’s Chawkbazar.
