A massive fire that broke out at a polythene factory at Chawkbazar in the capital on Monday noon has been brought under control after 2.20 hours.
Ten fire service units doused the fire.
The reason behind the fire couldn’t not be known.
Khalida Yesmin, Duty Officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, said, the fire started around 12pm and it was brought under control at 2:20pm.
She said, the fire broke out at the polythene factory and later it also spread to an adjacent restaurant. Being informed about the incident, we sent six fire service units to the spot at 12:09pm and later other four units were also sent there.
