The prices of gold have been increased by Tk 1,050 per bhori (11.664 grams) in Bangladesh following a fall in local market prices.
Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 82,348 per bhori, 21-carat Tk 78,615, 18-carat Tk 67,418, and gold of traditional method Tk 55,696 respectively.
The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association's (BAJUS) standing committee on pricing and price monitoring took the decision in a meeting on Wednesday, a press release said today.
According to the press release, the new prices will come into effect from Thursday.
Earlier, BAJUS raised the prices of gold in two phases on July 26 and 30.
