AL doesn't want those appointed during BNP in election duties

Bangladesh Awami League has sought to keep those appointed in police, civil administration, and election commission during the BNP-led four-party alliance government out of the next parliamentary election duties.

It made the demand while presenting an 11-point demand to the EC in a dialogue held at Nirbachan Bhaban on Sunday.

The ruling party also demanded to bring all necessary agencies, including election-time administration and law enforcers, for conducting the election under the EC.

A delegation of 13 Awami League members, including its General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Advisory Council Member Amir Hossain Amu, Presidium Members Matia Chowdhury, colonel Faruk Khan, and Dr Abdur Razzaque, and Joint General Secretary Hasan Mahmud took part in the dialogue.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal, four other election commissioners, and EC higher officials were present there.
