Police recovered the hanging body of a top police officer from Sarangadia village at Sripur upazila in Magura on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Khandaker Laboni Akter, 40, an additional police super of Khulna Metropolitan Police and daughter of Khandaker Shafiqul Azam of Baralidah village in the upazila.
It is suspected that she committed suicide due to family unrest. His husband had suffering from cancer for a long.
According to the source, Laboni’s family members informed police after they spotted her hanging body. Later, police rushed to the spot around 7am and rushed the body to Magura Sadar Hospital’s morgue.
Magura additional police superintendent Kamrul Hasan confirmed the matter to Jago News.
