The maximum retail prices of bottled soyabean oil have been reduced by Tk 14 per liter following a decrease in internal market prices.
Now, a liter of bottled soybean oil is Tk 185 while five liters Tk 910.
The prices of palm oil have also been decreased by Tk 6 to Tk 152 per liter.
The government fixed the new prices in a meeting with the owners of the mill and refining companies at the Ministry of Commerce on Sunday.
The new prices will come into effect from Monday.
The country's leading edible oil importer City Group's director Bishwajit Saha confirmed the matter to Jago News today.
Earlier on June 26, the Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association reduced the prices of bottled soyabean oil by Tk 6 to Tk 199.
