The prices of gold have been reduced by around Tk 1,166 per bhori (11.664 grams) in Bangladesh following a fall in international market prices.
Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 77,216 per bhori, 21-carat Tk 73,716, 18-carat Tk 63,219, and gold of traditional method Tk 52,721 respectively.
The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association's (BAJUS) standing committee on pricing and price monitoring took the decision in a meeting on Sunday.
It said the new prices will come into effect from Monday.
Earlier on July 7, BAJUS decreased the prices of gold by Tk 1,166 to 78,382.
