Two people have been killed and two others injured as two motorcycles collided head-on in Veramara upazila of Kushtia district.
The deceased were identified as Sajib, 23, son of late Abdul Hamid, a resident of Boria village in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia, and Maruf Ul Alam Piyash, 28, son of Shah Alam, of Naricha village in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna.
Police and local sources said two motorcycles collided head-on in Kachipara area on Tuesday afternoon, leaving four injured.
Later, the injured were rushed to Kushtia General Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared two dead.
Veramara Police Station officer in-charge Mohammad Mojibor Rahman confirmed the matter.
