Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind may occur at different parts of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow, reports BSS.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," said a met office bulletin.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay, it added.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.3 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and today's minimum temperature 24.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rangamati.
The highest rainfall during the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 103 mm in Tetulia.
The sun sets at 6.50 pm today and rises at 5.15 am tomorrow in the capital.
