Awami Swechchhasebak League President Nirmal Ranjan Guha has passed away.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Swechchhasebak League General Secretary A K M Afjalur Rahman Babu confirmed the death to Jago News on Wednesday morning.
Earlier on June 12, he was admitted to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital’s Shyamali with two blocks in his heart. Later, a ring was placed in his heart.
On June 16, he was flown to Singapore for better treatment.
On November 25 in 2019, Nirmal Ranjan Guha and Afzalur Rahman Babu were elected president and general secretary of Awami Swechchhasebak League respectively.
