Twelve justices of the Supreme Court’s Appellate Division and High Court Division have been infected with Coronavirus.
Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique disclosed the information at the beginning of the court’s proceedings on Monday.
He said the court proceeding might go virtual if the situation deteriorates further.
The Chief Justice sought cooperation from the lawyers if the virtual court has to start again.
Attorney General A M Amin Uddin told him that they would extend all cooperation in the court proceedings.
It is to be noted that, SC’s Appellate Division Justice M Enayetur Rahim, HC Division Justice Rajik Al Jalil, Justice Md Iqbal Kabir and nine other justices have been infected with Covid-19.
