Amid growing concern over militancy, terrorist attacks and target killing across the country, four pastors have received death threats from miscreants in Rangpur and Pirojpur districts in a day.Three priests of Pirojpur named Sholil Mukherjee of Kali Mondir, two pastors form Ram Krishna ashram and Palpara mondir and Bijoy Chakrabarty, priest of Anandomoyi Seba Ashram of Rangpur got life threat letters from miscreants on Monday.Tapan Das, General Secretary of Kali Mondir Committee and Masumur Rahman, officer-in charge of Pirojpur Sadar Police Station confirmed the incidents.In Rangpur, Bijoy Chakrabarty, priest of Rangpur Anandomoyi Seba Ashram received death threat letter from unknown on Monday morning.Officer-in charge of Sadar Police Station of Rangpur Jahidul Islam said Bijoy Chakrabarty, priest of Anandomoyi Seba Ashram gets a letter form an anonymous where the sender demanded tk 20,000 from him.The sender threaten the priest if he doesn’t pay the money, he will be killed very soon, said the OC.Rothish Chandra Bhoumick, General Secretary of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad, Rangpur Unit said, they have already informed the local administration about the threat and urged to police to tighten the security.
